Abt, Arthur F’s team published research in American Journal of Diseases of Children in 1942 | 82-73-5

American Journal of Diseases of Children published new progress about Blood plasma. 82-73-5 belongs to class bromides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3BrO3, HPLC of Formula: 82-73-5.

Abt, Arthur F.; Hardy, J. Martin; Farmer, Chester J.; Maaske, Jessie D. published the artcile< Relation of vitamin C to scarlet fever, rheumatic infections and diphtheria in children>, HPLC of Formula: 82-73-5, the main research area is .

The ascorbic acid content of the blood plasma was significantly lowered in 76 patients with scarlet fever. Oral administration of ascorbic acid in large doses did not influence the course of the disease. The plasma ascorbic acid was not significantly altered in 17 patients with rheumatic fever, in 26 with acute rheumatic heart disease, in 2 with chorea or in 8 with acute pharyngeal diphtheria. High temperatures per se did not significantly lower the plasma ascorbic acid or increase its utilization in the body. Fever, accompanied by active infection, may cause an increased ascorbic acid utilization, which is reflected in a decrease in the plasma level and in urinary excretion.

Boykin, David W.; Baumstark, Alfons L.; Kayser, Margaret M.; Soucy, Chantal M. published the artcile< Oxygen-17 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic study of substituted phthalic anhydrides and phthalides>, Safety of 4-Bromoisobenzofuran-1,3-dione, the main research area is NMR oxygen phthalic anhydride phthalide.

17O chem. shift data (natural abundance) for 3-substituted phthalic anhydrides and 4- and 7-substituted phthalides in acetonitrile at 75° are reported. Steric interactions of substituents ortho to the carbonyl groups result in deshielding effects (9-22 ppm) relative to parent compounds regardless of the electronic character of the substituents. Factors contributing to the deshielding effects are discussed. The relationship between 17O chem. shifts and regiochem. of the phthalic anhydrides is discussed.

Alhijry, Ibraheem A’s team published research in Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy & Radiative Transfer in 2020-04-30 | 82-73-5

Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy & Radiative Transfer published new progress about Absorptivity. 82-73-5 belongs to class bromides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3BrO3, Synthetic Route of 82-73-5.

Alhijry, Ibraheem A.; El Sherbini, Ashraf M.; El Sherbini, Tharwat M. published the artcile< Measurement of deviations of transition probability of the neutral silver lines at 827.35 and 768.77 nm using OES-technique>, Synthetic Route of 82-73-5, the main research area is silver transition probability Boltzmann plot OES spectrum.

Boltzmann plot of laser produced plasma spectral emission of two Ag I-spectral lines at 827.35 and 768.77 nm was carried out. Surprisingly, two order of magnitude lower inherent transition probabilities of the two Ag I-spectral lines could be monitored using optical emission spectroscopy OES-technique. Nd: YAG laser at 532 nm and incident intensities varying from 1.76 to 3.14 GW/cm2 was used to induce plasma emission of silver targets. Six Ag I-lines were identified using echelle spectrograph facility at 546.54, 520.9, 827.35, 768.77, 328.06 and 338.28 nm in addition to the Ha-line. Corrections against optically thick plasma spectral line emission were routinely implemented while taking into consideration the sensitivity of spectrograph-ICCD combination. The new measured values of transition probabilities were verified during plasma expansion under different laser incident irradiances.

Kayser, Margaret M’s team published research in Spectroscopy Letters in 1988-09-30 | 82-73-5

Spectroscopy Letters published new progress about Bond angle. 82-73-5 belongs to class bromides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3BrO3, COA of Formula: C8H3BrO3.

Kayser, Margaret M. published the artcile< The internal steric push-effect: its consequences on the reactivity of carbonyl functions in 3-substituted phthalic anhydrides>, COA of Formula: C8H3BrO3, the main research area is NMR phthalic anhydride; regioselectivity nucleophilic addition; mol mechanic phthalic anhydride.

The 13C NMR for a number of 3-substituted phthalic anhydrides and corresponding lactones were measured. Substituent effects were discussed. MM2 calculations for several 3-substituted phthalic anhydrides predict that the substituent and the neighboring carbonyl group remain coplanar and within the plane of the aromatic ring. To alleviate the imposed crowding, there is an in-plane distortion of the bond angle of the substituent and the carbonyl function. The observed angle of distortion increases with increasing steric demand of the substituent, in agreement with repulsive van der Waals interaction between those two groups. Diminished reactivity of the ortho carbonyl groups vis-a-vis nucleophiles in 3-substituted phthalic anhydrides may be linked to the internal steric push-effect which causes the displacement of electrons in the CO bond from O to C.

Dansk Tidsskrift for Farmaci published new progress about Blood. 82-73-5 belongs to class bromides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3BrO3, Computed Properties of 82-73-5.

Jorgensen, P. Fischer published the artcile< A mathematical-statistical analysis of titration errors in the determination of ascorbic acid of serum by use of the 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol method>, Computed Properties of 82-73-5, the main research area is .

373 determinations of ascorbic acid in serum were made, using a slight modification of the method of Farmer and Abt (cf. C.A. 30, 8273.5). The results are divided into 6 groups and the standard deviation determined for each group. The possible sources of error are investigated. Two types of errors can be distinguished: Group (a) comprises the exptl. errors. In this group the standard deviation is constant Group (b) is associated with the chemistry of the analytical method, and the standard deviation is found to be directly proportional to the ascorbic acid concentration The chem. significance of these errors is discussed.

A mixture of 7 g. 4-bromophthalic anhydride, 4.4 g. (EtCO)2O and 1.6 g. dry EtCO2Na was heated 3 hrs. at 170-80° and poured into 75 ml. H2O to yield 61% bromo-3-ethylidenephthalide (I), m. 115-16° (CCl4). With alkalis, I did not isomerize, but formed bromopropiophenone-o-carboxylic acid (II) which appeared in a tautomer form as 3-hydroxy-3-ethylbromophthalide (III). To 0.85 g. I in 20 ml. MeOH was added MeONa prepared from 0.08 g. Na and 2 ml. MeOH, and the mixture heated on a water bath 0.5 hr. and worked up to give 0.5 g. III m. 114-15° (EtOH). Similarly, III was obtained from I and 10% KOH. 10 references.
