Ostruthin, isolated from Paramignya trimera, was used as a scaffold to design its alkyl triphenylphosphonium derivatives With the optimal reaction conditions in hand, five alkyl triphenylphosphonium ostruthin derivatives I [n = 3, 4, 5, etc.] were synthesized.
