Reaction rate between Zn(II)-histidine and ninhydrin in three dicationic gemini (alkanediyl-α,ω-type) surfactants has been investigated at 343 K by spectroscopic methods. The first- and fractional-order dependencies of the reaction rate on concentration of [Zn(II)-his]+ complex and ninhydrin, resp., have been detected.
