Purification by silica gel flash chromatography eluting with 1 :20 MeOH/ EtOAc gave 5-(4- (methylamino)phenyl)pyridin-2-amine (79 mg, 39%) as an off white solid. LC-MS (ESI) m/z 200 (M +H)+.
