The reaction mixture was refluxed for 2 days, then concentrated in vacuum and purified by column chromatography on silica gel column (hexane/ethyl acetate) to afford 1-[4-[(3- bromophenyl)methylamino]-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinazolin-2-yl]-2-methyl-indole- 4-carbonitrile (0.5 g, 87.3%) as a brown solid.
