After 15 min stirring, di-tert-butyl dicarbonate (21.8 g, 100 mmol) in DCM (40 mL) was added dropwise to the solution for 1 h, and the resulting mixture was stirred for 2 days at room temperature. The resulting solution was washed with 1 N aqueous HCl, water × 2, saturated aqueous NaHCO3, and brine. The organic phase was dried with Na2SO4, and thes olvent was removed in vacuo to give tert-butyl (3-bromopropyl) carbamate (20.54 g, yield = 88%).
