To a stirred solution of 2-bromo-3-fluoro aniline (25.0 g, 131.57 mmol) in dichloromethane (500 mL) at 0 C under nitrogen was added acetic anhydride (18.65 mL, 197.36 mmol). The resulting mixture was warmed to room temperature and stirred for 16 hours. After that, the reaction mixture was diluted water and extracted with dichloromethane (2 x 500 mL).
