The combined organic layers were dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, the solids were removed by filtration and the filtrate was concentrated by evaporation to give intermediate I-61 (11 g, 92%). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta: delta 7.40 (d, 1H, J=8.0 Hz), 7.35 (t, 1H, J=1.6 Hz), 7.20 (t, 1H, J=7.6 Hz), 7.12 (d, 1H, J=8.0 Hz), 6.55 (brs, 1H), 3.59 (q, 2H, J1=6.4 Hz, J2=13.2 Hz), 2.86 (t, 2H, J=6.8 Hz). MS (ESI): m/z 296 (M+H+).
