After being stirred at room temperature overnight, the reaction mixture was cooled down to room temperature and quenched with saturated NaHCO3. The layers were separated and the organic layer was washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4. Solvent was removed and the residue was purified by flash chromatography (silica gel, 0?20 ethyl acetate in petroleum ether) to provide N-(4-bromo-2-fluorobenzyl)-4-(tert-butyl)benzamide (935-2) (1.6 g, 88%) as a yellow oil.
